Why "Lettermore"?
The Lettermore Group takes its name from Lettermore (Leitir Móir), an island in Connemara, County Galway, Ireland, reflecting family heritage and values rooted in resilience, integrity, and community. Those same principles continue to guide the firm's approach to leadership, service, and partnership.
The Lettermore Group was founded to help organizations navigate complex challenges where government, business, infrastructure, and public policy intersect. We provide experienced strategic counsel, build productive partnerships, and help leaders move important initiatives from strategy to execution.
FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
John Beatty
Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and Founder of The Lettermore Group. John brings more than three decades of leadership experience spanning military service, state government, and strategic advisory roles. As Executive Director of the Massachusetts Military Asset and Security Strategy Task Force (MASS-TF), he worked with government, military, industry, academic, and community leaders to advance initiatives supporting defense, infrastructure, economic development, and innovation across the Commonwealth.
Today, John advises organizations navigating complex challenges where government, business, and public interests intersect.
